REinvent International Sales has picked up the upcoming Toronto selected drama, A HAPPY DAY by acclaimed director, Hisham Zaman.

Teenage refugees plan a daring escape from a detention center in remote Norway in Hisham Zaman's dark comedy, which has its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on Monday, Sept. 11.

Swedish writer-director Lukas Moodysson is much beloved internationally for films such as “Show Me Love” (1998), “Together” (2000) and “Lilya 4-Ever” (2002). His filmography also includes the mostly English-language drama “Mammoth” (2009) with Michelle Williams and Gael Garcia Bernal, and “We Are the Best!,” (2013), a delightful adaptation of his wife’s graphic novel. His new film, “Together 99,” marks a sequel to his second feature.

REinvent International Sales has boarded the Toronto world premiere A Happy Day directed by Hisham Zaman. Zaman’s third feature, selected for TIFF Centerpiece, follows his earlier festival hits Before Snowfall and Letter To The King, which both won the Dragon award for Best Nordic Film in Goteborg.

The Swedish Oscar Committee has presented the shortlist for Sweden's submission to the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film. Selected for the shortlist are Milad Alami's Opponent, Mika Gustafson's Paradise is Burning, and Together 99 by Lukas Moodysson.

The Norwegian film is being produced by Motlys in co-production with Sweden’s B-Reel Films. SF Studios handles distribution. Seasoned TV director Ida Sagmo Tvedte, credited for the popular NRK kids series Stardust and Sofia Flux (Sofia Flux og det magiske høreapparatet) will be making her feature film debut, based on the novel Stargate-A Christmas Story by Ingvild H Rishøi.

Today SF Studios announced that it will distribute the film adaptation of the heartwarming Christmas tale Stargate, based on Ingvild Rishøi's critically acclaimed and award-winning book of the same name. The book is already considered a modern Christmas classic and has been compared to beloved stories by Astrid Lindgren, Charles Dickens and H.C. Andersen. The film will be a Christmas tale for the whole family directed by Ida Sagmo Tvedte. SF Studios distributes the film in Norway, Denmark and Finland. REinvent will handle international sales.

For the first time ever, a Greenlandic film stands among the Nordic films that have left a significant impression or mark on the global film festival circuit this year. It has been nominated for the Nordic Council Film Prize among five others.

SF Studios and REinvent have dropped the trailer for Lukas Moodysson's comedy 'Together 99,' the Swedish helmer's sequel to his hit movie 'Together.'

Today sees the launch of the first trailer for Lukas Moodysson's and Memfis Film's upcoming new feature film Together 99, a follow up to Moodysson’s hit Together, released in 2000, a huge success with audiences and critics around the world. SF Studios will release the film in Sweden on October 13. REinvent will sell the film internationally.
