Where The Rainbow Ends

For several years, Mikael has been preoccupied with his life’s work: a bold and grandiose musical drama. This has far exceeded the recourses available to him and both he and his family are in an acute financial crisis as a result. His fiancée, Catti, does her very best to support him. But the day comes when the bailiffs knock on the door. They are brutally forced to abandon their home and move to a caravan on a desolate camping site in the middle of the winter. Nonetheless, by means of skilful acting Mikael manages to keep rehearsals going. In order to rescue Mikael and save his dream from destruction, Catti decides, without telling him, to contact Mikael’s former best friend and manager. This turns the financial crisis into a human nightmare, in which Mikael suddenly finds himself reduced to a mere observer of his own life’s work.Tha action takes place on three levels and three dimensions of time, in the same natural manner that everybody’s daily experiences of reality interlock, drift apart, complement and illuminate each other.
