Ragnar waves goodbye to his lovely, lovely wife Ellen who embarks on a trip with some friends. Unfortunately, Ellen dies on foreign shores. Distressed and lonely, Ragnar receives a little box containing Ellen’s ashes. He places the ashes in a beautiful urn and plans to lay his beloved spouse to her final rest under the lilac bushes near the Spring of Joy, their summer cottage. Together with his son Mick, a very justifiable unsuccessful rock musician and his son’s young net stocking girlfriend Catti, Ragnar attempts to transport his wife to her final resting place. Their trip proves to be eventful in and of it, and it does – in the best sense of the phase- have a happy ending.
