Workaholic Enzo has been on the verge of a burn-out and, pressured by his girlfriend, has agreed to a trip to the countryside. During a hike, his foot gets caught in an old-fashioned rabbit trap, but luckily, an old farmer comes to his aid. The farm, where he lives with his daughter Embla, lacks any form of modern comfort, and peculiar things keep happening that prevent the couple from leaving. Meanwhile, Enzo finds himself drawn to Embla’s primal energy, and as he gives in to her sexual advances, a mysterious power is unleashed. Locked in passion, he panics. Did his skin merge with hers? Finding himself a pawn in Embla’s plan to escape the farm, Enzo must fight ancient forces that threaten his very existence. From acclaimed director Tallulah H. Schwab (Mr. K, 2024) comes a dark and unsettling elevated horror film starring Bilal Wahib (Paradise Drifters, 2020) and Rea Lest-Liik (Dark Paradise, 2023). Blending elements of body horror with an increasingly oppressive atmosphere, the film explores desire, manipulation and a desperate struggle to regain control. Drawing audiences into a world where the boundaries between reality and the supernatural begin to dissolve, METSIK delivers an immersive cinematic experience that pulls you deeper with every attempt to escape.
