HORMONES! / SEASON 1 & 2

Season II / synopsis
A ’dating but not living together’ couple, Elena and Patrik, are juggling between family life and their new relationship. One family member crashes into puberty, a thirty-something refuses to grow up, another struggles with new motherhood, and a grandmother’s love life adds to the chaos. With oxytocin, serotonin, stress hormones—and a dash of breast milk—this hormonal rollercoaster is far from settling down!

Season II / pitch
Following the success of season one, Hormones! II once again seeks to shed a comedic light on both female and male menopause. What is the purpose of love if you are no longer reproducing – and what, after all, is the meaning of life? In this second season, director Johanna Vuoksenmaa dives even deeper into Elena and Patrik’s journey, with returning stars Karoliina Blackburn and Robin Svartström in the lead.

Season I / synopsis
Hormones! is a dramedy series about post-fertile life and never-ending parenthood. 47 year old gynecologist Elena is hit hard by her menopause and struggles to deal with her children and ex-husband. Hormones affect everyone’s behaviour, but do they explain it?
