HELSINKI TALLINN follows a newly established investigation team, bringing together police officers from two neighboring countries to work side by side on cross-border cases. Each episode follows a standalone investigation – from drug trafficking, robbery and murder – taking the team deeper into the criminal worlds connecting the two cities. But when a failed police operation suggests that confidential information is leaking from within law enforcement, suspicion grows that someone is feeding information to criminals, and trust begins to crumble. From director Juha Lankinen (Arctic Circle, 2018-2025) comes HELSINKI TALLINN, a crime series inspired by real cases and extensive interviews with Finnish and Estonian police officers. Bringing together investigators from both sides, each episode tackles a new case, revealing the criminal networks connecting the two cities. The series stars Kari Hietalahti (Deadwind, 2018; Arctic Circle, 2018) and Annika Aapalahti (East of Sweden, 2018).
