Brave New Love is a witty and contemporary exploration of infidelity, motherhood, lust, and shame. Hypnotherapist Kate (40) lives with her husband, Orla, and their daughter, Athena, while simultaneously maintaining a deeply romantic - and highly secret - relationship with Andreas. As a role model to her daughter, she struggles to navigate her existential quest - a journey filled with body fluids, intimacy, Greek mythology, laughter, madness, and clumsiness. We follow Kate through darkness and sunshine in this erotic, existential modern love story, as she battles society’s norms and dares to redefine the rules of love.

BRAVE NEW LOVE is directed by Maria Bäck who enjoyed international acclaim for her fiction feature film debut, “Psychosis in Stockholm” (2020). The film stars internationally acclaimed actress Kathrine Thorborg Johansen (Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes, 2021; Power Play, 2024) alongside Anders Danielsen Lie (The Worst Person In The World, 2021; Quisling - The Final Days, 2024), Simon Sears (Shadow and Bone, 2021; Shorta, 2020) and Angeliki Papoulia (Dogtooth, 2009; The Lobster, 2015) in the lead.
