We are immensely proud to let you know that we have picked up the upcoming third feature film from acclaimed director, Maria Bäck. Led by Kathrine Thorborg Johansen, Simon Sears, Anders Danielsen Lie and Angeliki Papoulia, BRAVE NEW LOVE will start shooting in March 2025 on location in Denmark and Greece.
Written and directed by Maria Bäck, BRAVE NEW LOVE is produced by Snowglobe with Anna-Maria Kantarius, Maria Bäck’s fiction feature film debut was, “Psychosis in Stockholm” (2020), for which she enjoyed international acclaim.
The film will star internationally acclaimed actress Kathrine Thorborg Johansen alongside Anders Danielsen Lie, Simon Sears and Angeliki Papoulia in the lead.
Danish/Norwegian actress Kathrine Thorborg Johansen played the leading role in the Netflix original series “Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes” (2021), she appeared in “The Quake” (2018) and played the lead in the major NRK series “Power Play” (2024), winner of the Best Series award at Cannes Series (2023).
Norwegian actor Anders Danielsen Lie is known for his longtime collaboration with internationally acclaimed director Joachim Trier. His latest appearance in one of Joachim Trier’s films is his role in “The Worst Person In The World” (2021).
Danish actor Simon Sears is known for Ride Upon The Storm (2017), Netflix original Shadow and Bone (2021) and not least international festival darling, Shorta (2020).
Angeliki Papoulia is a Greek actress, whose appearances include internationally acclaimed feature film “Dogtooth” (2009) and Academy Award nominated, “The Lobster” (2015).

Synopsis
Brave New Love is a witty and contemporary exploration of infidelity, motherhood, lust, and shame. Hypnotherapist Kate (40) lives with her husband, Orla, and their daughter, Athena, while simultaneously maintaining a deeply romantic – and highly secret – relationship with Andreas. As a role model to her daughter, she struggles to navigate her existential quest – a journey filled with body fluids, intimacy, Greek mythology, laughter, madness, and clumsiness. We follow Kate through darkness and sunshine in this erotic, existential modern love story, as she battles society’s norms and dares to redefine the rules of love.
