Bamse and the City of Thieves – an adventure film about friendship and how easy it is for someone to become mean when they’ve been left out. It is based on Rune Andréasson’s much loved Swedish comic series, Bamse – the strongest bear in the world. Rune Andréasson created Bamse in the 1960s. Since the series began Bamse comics have been read by children and adults all over Scandinavia, generation after generation, and today it is still one of the most widely read publications in its genre.
