SVT has found its Erica Falck.
It was in April that SVT confirmed that a series set in Camilla Läckberg’s “Fjällbacka” universe had been given the green light.
At the time, the series was titled “In the Shadow of the Guilt”. It has now been announced that “Fjällbacka: The Guilt” is the current original title. The planned premiere is in 2027.
When filming begins, it is clear that Gina-Lee Fahlén Ronander will play the role of Erica Falck while Filip Aladdin plays Erica’s husband, police officer Patrik Hedström.
“She has a huge heart”
– It is so incredibly luxurious to portray a character like Erica, not only because she is loved by so many, but also because she has an enormously big heart and is sometimes as boundless as myself, says Gina-Lee Fahlén Ronander in a press release and continues:
– If you have a family, you probably recognize the struggle between being a good mother and wife, and at the same time maintaining yourself. It is precisely this duality that makes her so fun and relatable to play. I am so grateful to be able to show the audience my interpretation of her.
The starting shot for “Fjällbacka: The Guilt” is when Erica Falck finds the remains of her childhood friend who has been missing for 20 years.
Eric’s husband Patrik then opens the investigation into the case that has “tortured the region for decades.”
