Reinvent Yellow Sales picks up elevated horror, THE CATCH by Jo Southwell starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Ben Miles.
Reinvent Yellow Sales has picked up international sales on the upcoming feature film THE CATCH, directed by Jo Southwell and currently in pre-production. The film is set to start shooting shortly. Jo Southwell has extensive experience in writing and directing. Under her belt among others is the BBC show, “Call The Midwife” (2024). THE CATCH will be her feature film debut.
Led by international stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors, 2010; Match Point, 2005) and Ben Miles (The Crown, 2022; Nürnberg, 2025), THE CATCH offers a fresh and unsettling take on the mermaid legend, reimagined through a modern and psychologically driven lens. Blending ancient folklore with contemporary thriller elements, the film delivers a distinctive genre experience rooted in obsession, desire and consequence.

Synopsis
A disgraced celebrity chef races his rival to hunt for the rarest catch of all — a mermaid. In the depths of Cornwall he risks murder, deceit and his own daughter for the most exclusive dish in the world.
The film is directed by Jo Southwell and produced by Sara Gibbings for Mermaid Pictures with support from Reunion Pacific (Canada) and Pinewood Studios amongst others. Casting by Nancy Bishop, CSA. International sales is handled by Reinvent Yellow Sales.
