REinvent International Sales has landed a North America deal on the horror feature, DARK WINDOWS by Alex Herron (Leave, 2022). The film has been acquired by Brianstorm Media for the US and Canada.
REinvent International Sales has closed a North America deal on Alex Herron’s horror feature, DARK WINDOWS with Brainstorm Media.
“Herron’s DARK WINDOWS is a thrilling new addition to the home invasion sub genre. We’re excited to bring this excellent psychological horror film to genre fans across North America,” said Michelle Shwarzstein, Head of Distribution for Brainstorm Media.
The deal was negotiated between Brainstorm Media’s Alex Peters and REinvent’s Peter Ahlén.
Previously announced sales include Latin America (Gussi), MENA region (ENL / Empire Network Ltd), Hungary and Czech Republic and Slovakia (Vertigo).
Synopsis
Following a car crash that results in the death of their friend Allison, teens Monica, Tilly, and Peter head out of town to a summerhouse in the countryside to quietly work through their grief until tensions have calmed down back home. Everything is normal and peaceful until a masked man shows up, terrorizing and punishing them in the most horrific ways.
The film stars a cast of up-and-coming talents, including Annie Hamilton who previously starred in “The Wolf of Snow Hollow” (2020) and “Inventing Anna” (2022).
Director Alex Herron has a passion for exploring various facades of the horror genre, and with DARK WINDOWS he masterfully combines classical horror tropes with themes of passion, loss, terror and the dark depths to which people fall in the pursuit of revenge.
