Rebels - Never surrender
Never surrender

22-year-old Iben and her 20-year-old boyfriend Alex are key figures in the anarchistic „Youth House“ - a sanctuary for young people who don’t fit in elsewhere. When the state unexpectedly sells the building to a religious sect Iben and Alex along with the other young people, find themselves under immense pressure. While Iben tries to engage politicians and the media in her battle, Alex secretly sides with a more radical fraction of the house that has lost faith in peaceful solutions.

Directed by internationally acclaimed Mads Matthiesen, whose debut feature „Teddy Bear“ won the „Best Director – World Dramatic Arts Award“ at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012, the series tells the story of a group of young people who rise up to defend their right to be different. REBELS is a fictional series inspired by real events surrounding the demolition of the Youth House in Copenhagen in 2007.
